Hudson, Fla. — Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point is adding a temporary waiting room extension to their Emergency Department, which will more than double the size of their current waiting room area. The temporary extension will provide more available COVID-safe waiting area space while patients are triaged and seen by Bayonet Point’s Caregivers.

“Our Caregivers are the lifeblood of this hospital,” said CEO Regina Temple. “When a patient comes to us for help, our Caregivers are there to provide comfort. That’s going to continue as we adapt and meet the growing needs of our community during these times.”

The temporary waiting room will be completed and ready for use on Thursday, August 19, 2021, and the ongoing construction and upgrade of the Emergency Department is expected to be completed in early 2022. The Emergency Department construction will double the number of beds from 19 to 34.
