Tampa Bay/Hudson, FL - Regional Medical Center Bayonet announces that in honor of Heart Month it will hold a free community CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) Demonstration Day on Saturday, February 1, 2020, from 8:00am to 12:00pm at the Graduate Medical Education Conference Room, 14108 Glacier Drive, Hudson, Florida 34667 (opposite end of the Rao Musunuru, MD Conference Center building). A 45-minute class will be held every hour non-stop all morning with each class able to hold no more than 75 people.
The free community CPR demonstration class instructs how to give CPR in case of an emergency. This will be hands only CPR which has just two easy steps. If you see a teen or adult collapse:
- Call 9-1-1
- Push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of the disco song "Stayin' Alive".
The demo will teach you to confidently give hands only CPR and choking prevention with a great teaching technique brought to you by the American Heart Association and a local trainer from Pasco County Fire Rescue.
