Tampa Bay/Hudson, Florida – Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point’s (RMCBP), Department of Graduate Medical Education is pleased to announce accreditation of its Traditional Rotating Internship program by the American Osteopathic Association.

The Rotating Internship program is under the direction of Shaival Thakore, MD and serves as the link between pre-doctoral and postdoctoral clinical training, and provides a year of maturation and transition from application of pre-doctoral knowledge to clinical decision making and skills. Interns will have exposure to core disciplines including internal medicine, family medicine, general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology and emergency medicine as well as specialty specific services such as dermatology, ophthalmology, pathology, and ENT, to suit their individual educational requirements.

RMCBP’s Department Graduate Medical Education is undergoing a period of significant growth and development and is anticipated to expand to more than121 residents/fellows over the next several years.
