Tampa Bay/Hudson, Florida – Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point recently honored Suzanne Sarabalis, RN, on Medical Oncology, and Jessica Dent, RN in the Cardiac Surgical Unit as its Nurses of the Year. Suzanne Sarabalis, RN, was honored as RN Nurse of the Year and Jessica Dent, RN, was honored in the category of New RN of the Year. Both Ms. Sarabalis and Ms. Dent were recognized at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point’s 2nd Annual Nursing Gala. The event was designed to recognize the significant accomplishments of the hospital’s nurses and physicians. Both Ms. Sarabalis and Ms. Dent were chosen for their dedication to providing high quality, compassionate patient care.
About Suzanne Sarabalis, RN
Suzanna Sarabalis, RN, is a 30 year nursing veteran who serves on the Medical Oncology Unit at RMCBP. Nominations comments included, “Goes above and beyond for each of her patients…she genuinely cares about everyone…a great mentor with a positive attitude…and always willing to drop everything she is doing to help anyone out.”
About Jessica Dent, RN
Jessica Dent, RN, serves on the CS Unit (actual name of the unit). She has a reputation as possessing impressive skills, compassion and time management. Other comments from nominations included: “A patient advocate who cares about the family members… already has the characteristics of a seasoned nurse…a kind and gentle manner, attention to detail and a desire to do the best she can for her patients’ families…she is an inspiration to us all.” One particular comment emphasized, “You would never know that she has been a nurse for less than a year. She is a shining example of what we look for in the future of nursing.”
