Ahmad Abazid

We are extremely excited about your interest in our General Surgery Residency Training Program.

The cornerstone of any great academic surgical department is the strength of its general surgery training program and its surgeons. We have highly experienced and well-trained surgeons on our faculty at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and Oak Hill Hospital.

Our trainees will garner extraordinary surgical training and be mentored in patient safety and quality initiatives, clinical research, and evidence-based practice principles, which will prepare them for leadership in communities in Florida, around the country, and in American surgery.

We are also looking forward to an exciting future as we recruit new faculty members in general surgery and the surgical specialties who will be focused on your educational experience as our hospitals and program grow.

We also look forward to the unique role our new trainees will play in our new program and in our community. The citizens of Hernando, Pasco, and Citrus Counties also look forward to your arrival!

I encourage you to view this as a unique opportunity to join the energy and excitement going on in graduate medical education in HCA Healthcare West Florida and I look forward to meeting all of you during your visit.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
