Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point is a primary stroke center accredited by The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization, which accredits and certifies health care organizations and programs in the United States. We had to show that our facility is dedicated to the newest and most effective stroke treatments in order to receive this award. Our facility and our staff had to meet strict criteria and adhere to the highest medical standards involved in treating stroke victims.
